Boys All Levels Golf
|Windsor High School|
Congratulations to the Windsor High School boys' golf team for winning the Fort Morgan Invitational held today at Quail Dunes Golf Course. Windsor's 25-over team score beat 18 other teams, and while the tournament wasn't concluded by the time this post was created, the Wizards have secured the top spot. Two Wizards finished in the top five out of 90 players. Leading the way was sophomore Carter Hinkle's second place score of 77 (5-over par). Classmate Landon Ball tied for 3rd with an 80 (8-over). Senior Alex Tanner came in with an 84 to place among the top 15 and senior Andrew Scoggin finished with a 98. This is the first time the team has played Quail Dunes, the site of the Sept. 22 Class 4A Region 3 tournament. Junior Brentyn Paiz was unable to participate in today's event, but as one of the top-ranked players in all of Class 4A, his inclusion in the upcoming regional tournament figures to provide Windsor with a strong roster to attempt to qualify for state. Way to go Windsor!
