Winter Sports Registration


   Welcome to Windsor Wizards Athletics!
General Information

To participate in athletics at Windsor High School, all student-athletes must obtain a Sports Permit for each sport they play.  To receive a Sports Permit, the student-athlete must register during the registration period prior to each sport season.  During the registration period for an athlete's FIRST SPORT PLAYED, athletes must complete the online registration form (ONLY ONCE PER SCHOOL YEAR), and sign and submit the required forms.

After completion of the online form for an athlete's first sport played for the 2021-2022 school year, for all subsequent sports, athletes only need to verify their physical is updated and pay the sports fee to obtain a Sports Permit.  Sports fees for Windsor High School and Severance High School students are $150 for each sport ($200 for football, $50 for Unified Basketball, and NO fee for Cheerleading and Poms).  For students attending out-of-district schools, Windsor Charter Academy, and for homeschooled students the sports fees are $225 for each sport ($300 for football).  As a reminder, there are no multi-family or multi-sports discounts.

Transfer students that did not attend Windsor High School for the entire 2020-2021 school year, International Students and students attending a school other than Windsor High School that does not offer a specific sports program will be required to complete the CHSAA online eligibility transfer forms.  This information will be be provided at the time of the sports registration for each season.

WINTER SPORTS FEES
$150 ($50 for Unified Basketball) for Windsor High School & Severance High School students
$225 for Out-of-District, Windsor Charter and Homeschooled Students
Location: Turn in all registration items together to Sandee Legino, Athletics Secretary, Rm B114
 
Please remember - - if you have already registered and played a fall sport this school year,
you only need to see Mrs. Legino during the registration period to verify your physical is
updated and pay your sports fee.  At this time you will receive your Winter Sports Permit! 
Do not complete another online registration!
 
FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF PRACTICE/TRYOUTS
Monday, November 15

 

NO REFUNDS will be given if the athlete quits once practice begins.

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS below on how to register and receive your Winter Sports Permit!  ALL winter athletes MUST receive a Winter Sports Permit to be eligible to participate on the first official date of practice/tryouts on Monday, November 15.  The deadline to register is Wednesday, November 10.  Select and review the "IF" criteria below that fits the athlete's situation, and complete, sign and submit the required items listed below.  After completing the online registration and all registration instructions, bring completed registration items to Sandee Legino, Athletics Secretary, in the WHS Athletics Office (B114) during the designated sports registration dates to obtain the Winter Sports Permit.  ONLY COMPLETED registration items can be accepted!

 

* IF * you were an incoming freshman at the beginning of this school year (2021-2022) OR attended Windsor HS for the ENTIRE 2020-2021 school year, please complete and submit the following:
  1. Complete the online registration form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.  A registration confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address you enter on the form.  CHECK YOUR EMAIL!

  2. Signed "parent/athlete signature form" - Print, sign and submit the signature form (last page of the confirmation emailed to you).

  3. Signed Weld RE-4 School District Covid-19 Waiver (from below printable forms - print, read, sign and submit).

  4. Updated physical - good for 365 days from date of physical (forms are provided below under "Printable Forms" - must be signed and dated by physician.

  5. Payment of Sports Fee - $150 ($50 for Unified Basketball) for Windsor HS students - NO REFUNDS will be given if the athlete quits once practice begins.  Payment by check or cash is preferred.

 

* IF * you are a TRANSFER or INTERNATIONAL STUDENT that attended another high school for any portion of the 2020-2021 school year, and are now attending Windsor HS, please complete and submit the following:

  1. Complete the online registration form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.  A registration confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address you enter on the form.  CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!

  2. Signed "parent/athlete signature form" - Print, sign and submit the signature form (last page of the confirmation emailed to you).

  3. Signed Weld RE-4 School District Covid-19 Waiver (from below printable forms - print, read, sign and submit)

  4. Updated physical - good for 365 days from date of physical (forms are provided below under "Printable Forms" - must be signed and dated by physician.

  5. Payment of Sports Fee - $150 ($50 for Unified Basketball) for Windsor HS students - NO REFUNDS will be given if the athlete quits once practice begins.  Payment by check or cash is preferred.

  6. All transfer and international students are required by CHSAA to complete the online CHSAA transfer forms.  Information on the transfer process will be provided during the winter sports registration on an as needed basis.  Please inquire within at this time.

 

* IF * you DO NOT ATTEND Windsor HS, but will play a sport at Windsor HS because your school does not offer the sport, please complete and submit the following:
  1. Complete the online registration form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.  A registration confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address you enter on the form.  CHECK YOUR EMAIL!!

  2. Signed "parent/athlete signature form" - Print, sign and submit the signature form (last page of the confirmation emailed to you).

  3. Signed Weld RE-4 School District Covid-19 Waiver (from below printable forms - print, read, sign and submit)

  4. Updated physical - good for 365 days from date of physical (forms are provided below under "Printable Forms" - must be signed and dated by physician.

  5. Payment of Sports Fee - $150 for Severance High School Students / $225 for students attending Out-of-District schools, Windsor Charter Academy, and Homeschooled students - NO REFUNDS will be given if the athlete quits once practice begins.  Payment by check or cash is preferred.

  6. Complete the Non-WHS Student Athlete General Information Form (see printable forms below).  The school administrator’s signature is required.  Incomplete or unsigned forms will not be accepted.
  7. Complete the Non-WHS Student Grade & Eligibility Form (see printable forms below).  The school administrator must complete and sign the Non-WHS Grade Eligibility Form.  Incomplete or unsigned forms will not be accepted.

 

Athletic Training Rules, Code of Conduct & Academic Policies

Parents and athletes are responsible for reading the items below prior to granting approval and signing the "parent and athlete signature form" from the registration confirmation that covers consent to participate, injury liability, athlete code of conduct, training rules, academic eligibility requirements, acknowledgement of understanding the contents in the below items, consent for data sharing, etc.
