REGISTRATION: Season C


   Welcome to Windsor Wizards Athletics!
General Information

To participate in athletics at Windsor High School, all student-athletes must obtain a Sports Permit for each sport they play.  To receive a Sports Permit, the student-athlete must register during the registration period prior to each sport season.  During the registration period of the first sport played, athletes are required to complete the online registration form (only once per school year) and submit the required forms.  After the initial completion of the online form for the 2020-2021 school year, for all subsequent sports athletes only need to verify their physical is updated and pay the sports fee to obtain a Sports Permit.  Sports fees for Windsor High School and Severance High School students are $150 for each sport ($200 for football) and for non-district, Windsor Charter Academy and homeschooled students the sports fees are $225 for each sport ($300 for football).  As a reminder, there are no multi-family or multi-sports discounts.

If you are a freshman OR have not yet played a sport at Windsor High School, you will be required to create an "ATHLETE" account (not a parent account) by signing up on the CHSAA Eligibility Platform at planeths.com.  If you have already played a sport at WHS, you already have an account - do not create an additional account.  This account will remain with you throughout your high school career.  WHS students must designate Windsor HS as the primary school, and non-WHS students you must designate Windsor HS as the secondary school.  Once you have finished creating the athlete account and have clicked "sign up", sign off immediately.   Do not link a parent account, do not click on the transfer forms tabs, and do not complete any additional information requested by CHSAA once your account has been created.

Students Must Register on the Day They Attend School
(Group A Students on "A" Days & Group B Students on "B" Days)
If you would like to register on Wednesday, February 24 when there are no students in
the building, you must sign up and make a reservation for a TIME SLOT HERE!
Deadline to Register:  Wednesday, March 3
Sports Fee: $150 for Windsor High School, Severance High School & INSPIRE students
$225 for out-of-district, Windsor Charter and homeschool students
Location: Turn in registration items to Sandee Legino, Athletics Secretary, Rm B114

 

NO REFUNDS will be given if you quit once you begin practicing, with the exception of a cancellation due to Covid-19.  At that time the situation will be evaluated and if deemed necessary, refunds will be made appropriately.  Please pay by check.  

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS below on how to register and receive your Winter Sports Permit!  ALL winter athletes MUST receive a Winter Sports Permit to be eligible to participate on the first official date of practice/tryouts (date to be determined).  Review and select the "IF" criteria below that fits the athlete's situation, and complete and submit the required items.  After completing all registration instructions, bring registration items to Sandee Legino, Athletics Secretary, in the WHS Athletics Office (B114) to obtain the Sports Permit.

 

* IF * you were an incoming freshman at the beginning of this school year OR attended Windsor HS for the ENTIRE 2019-2020 school year, please complete and submit the following:
  1. Complete the online registration form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.  A registration confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address you enter on the form.  Check your email!!

  2. Signed "parent/athlete signature form" - Print, sign and submit the signature form (last page of the confirmation emailed to you).

  3. Signed "CHSAA Competitor/Covid-19 Risk form (from below printable forms - read, print, sign and submit last page).

  4. Updated physical

  5. Payment of Sports Fee - $150 for Windsor HS students - NO REFUNDS, with the exception of cancellations due to Covid-19!  Due to Covid-19 and that possible refunds may need to be made, please pay by check.

  6. If you are a freshman or did not participate in sports at WHS last school year, you must create a One-Time CHSAA “ATHLETE” account (not a parent account) by signing up on CHSAA’s planeths.com website.  If you have already played a sport at WHS, you already have an account - do not create an additional account.  This account will remain with you throughout your high school career.  WHS students must designate Windsor as the primary school.  Once you have created the athlete account and clicked "sign up", sign off immediately.  Do not link a parent account, do not click on the transfer forms tabs, and do not complete any additional information requested by CHSAA once your account has been created.

 

* IF * you are a TRANSFER or INTERNATIONAL STUDENT that attended another high school for any portion of the 2019-2020 school year, and are now attending Windsor HS, please complete and submit the following:

  1. Complete the online registration form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.  A registration confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address you enter on the form.  Check your email!!

  2. Signed "parent/athlete signature form" - Print, sign and submit the signature form (last page of the confirmation emailed to you).

  3. Signed "CHSAA Competitor/Covid-19 Risk form (from below printable forms - read, print, sign and submit last page).

  4. Updated physical

  5. Payment of Sports Fee - $150 for Windsor HS students - NO REFUNDS, with the exception of cancellations due to Covid-19!  Due to Covid-19 and that possible refunds may need to be made, please pay by check.

  6. If you are a transfer or international student ONLY, you must create a One-Time CHSAA “ATHLETE” account by signing up on CHSAA’s planeths.com website.  This account will remain with you throughout your high school career.  WHS students must designate Windsor as the primary school.  Once you have created the athlete account and clicked "sign up", the parent will need to create and "link" their account, then sign off immediately.  AT THIS TIME DO NOT click on the transfer forms tabs, and do not complete any additional information requested by CHSAA once your athlete and parent account have been created.

  7. All transfer and international students are required by CHSAA to complete the CHSAA Transfer Application.  Please call Sandee Legino, Athletics Secretary at 970-686-8104 for instructions and assistance on how to begin the transfer application process.

 

* IF * you DO NOT ATTEND Windsor HS, but will play a sport at Windsor HS because your school does not offer the sport, please complete and submit the following:
  1. Complete the online registration form by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.  A registration confirmation will be emailed to you at the email address you enter on the form.  Check your email!!

  2. Signed "parent/athlete signature form" - Print, sign and submit the signature form (last page of the confirmation emailed to you).

  3. Signed "CHSAA Competitor/Covid-19 Risk form (from below printable forms - read, print, sign and submit last page).

  4. Updated physical.

  5. Payment of Sports Fee - $150 for Windsor High School students / $225 for out-of-district, Windsor Charter Academy and homeschool students - NO REFUNDS, with the exception of cancellations due to Covid-19!  Due to Covid-19 and that possible refunds may need to be made, please pay by check.

  6.   7. Complete the Non-WHS Student Athlete General Information Form (see printable forms below).  The school administrator’s signature is required.  Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

  8. The school administrator must complete and sign the Non-WHS Grade Eligibility Form (see printable forms below).  Incomplete forms will not be accepted.

 

Athletic Training Rules, Code of Conduct & Academic Policies

Parents and athletes are responsible for reading the items below prior to granting approval and signing the "parent & athlete signature form" from the registration confirmation that covers consent to participate, injury liability, athlete code of conduct, training rules, academic eligibility requirements, acknowledgement of understanding  the contents in the below items, consent for data sharing, etc.
