It's been "That 70's Show" lately for the Windsor High School boys' golf team. All five Wizards turned in scores under 80 during today's Northern Colorado Athletic Conference tournament held at Ute Creek Golf Course in Longmont and hosted by Skyline. It marked the second time this year that Windsor, which practices at Pelican Lakes, concluded a five-person conference event with all five of its players posting scores in the 70s. Windsor won the event with a four-person score of 300 (12-over), 20 strokes ahead of conference rival Silver Creek. Not only were all five of the players' scores in the 70s, but they all placed among the top 7 in the field. Another amazing feat occurred today. Freshman Kellen Ball became the fourth different Windsor varsity player to win medalist for his team, which demonstrates the depth of the Wizards. Kellen (right) paced the Wizards on his way to a second place score of 73 (1-over). Junior Landon Ball (middle) was third with a 74 (2-over). Senior Brentyn Paiz (second from right) was fourth with a round of 75 (3-over). Freshman Dillon Calkins (left) tied for fifth with a score of 78 (6-over) and junior Carter Hinkle (second from left) rounded out the scoring with a 79 (7-over) to tie for seventh. Next up for the Wizards is Thursday's Loveland Invitational held at The Olde Course.
