Boys Varsity Soccer
The coaching staff is very excited for the start of the upcoming season and while there will definitely be some changes from our normal years we are anticipating a successful season. The following are the details we have right now in regards to our preseason camp.
Date: 2/22-2/25 and 3/1-4
Location: WHS Stadium field
What to bring: Running shoes, Cleats and shin guards, Clothes for all weather, Water, Mask
There are also some protocols that we will be following at this camp and into the season. These protocols are likely to change, but as of right now this is what we know.
Locker Room access will be limited and only available to athletes that attended in-person learning that day.
Masks will be required for everyone (including parents) when not on the field engaged in practice AND when distancing of 6 feet cannot be done. The soccer program has purchased some neck gaiters for the athletes, but encourages everyone to have extras and to use what they find most comfortable.
Athletes that did not attend in-person learning that day will be required to complete a temperature and symptom check. This will be done at the field and does not require any paperwork like it did this summer. If you have had a fever or other symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID, please do not attend camp.
We are anticipating that there will be changes to the schedule due to weather, but our goal is to be on the field as much as possible. If there is snow, we are asking for athletes that are able to bring a PLASTIC snow shovel to help clear the field.

The 2020-21 soccer season is finally about to start. While things can and probably will change between now and the end of the season, here is what we can announce.
We will begin our preseason conditioning and skills camp on Monday February 22nd and it will run through March 4th. Camp will be held at Windsor High School starting at 4:30 and will go until at least 6:00 or as long as light permits.
Tryouts will begin on March 8th, games can begin starting March 15th, the regular season is expected to end 4/17th, and the state finals will be held 5/1st. While these dates may change, we feel fairly confident that they won't change much if they do.
While our schedule is not finalized yet, we are expecting a 10 game season. This will include games and practices during our spring break. More information in regards to scheduling will be available as soon as we get.
There will be numerous protocols instituted in order to ensure the safest environment for our athletes. Masks will be required for all camps, practices, and for the sidelines during games. Athletes should also bring their own water and hand sanitizer. All activities will include athletes from both zone A and B, but they will be put into cohorts in order to track them for quarantine purposes. We're sure there will be more regulations that will be made clear as we get closer to the 22nd and we will pass them on as soon as we can.
The coaches are very excited to get back on the field and as always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to coach Weiser at firstname.lastname@example.org
